Incoming material, in-line, mid-production and final inspection. What we check at each stage.

Quality isn't something you add at the end of the line. By the time a finished garment reaches final inspection, most of the decisions that decide its quality have already been made. A shaded roll, a loose stitch tension or a misread measurement can affect hundreds of pieces before anyone notices.
That's why every garment we make passes through four checkpoints, each designed to catch a different kind of problem as early as possible.
Every roll of fabric and every box of trims is checked before it reaches the cutting table. For fabric, we inspect against the four-point system, looking for holes, slubs, stains, barré and shading. We also test:
Trims are checked for size, colour, function and quantity. A zip that doesn't run smoothly is far cheaper to reject here than after it's sewn into 2,000 jackets.
Once sewing starts, roving inspectors work along the line, checking pieces at each critical operation. They look at stitch density, seam allowance, tension, alignment and placement of labels and branding.
When an inspector finds a problem, it's fixed at the source. The operator is shown the issue, the machine is adjusted if needed, and the affected pieces are reworked straight away.
“A defect caught on the line costs minutes. The same defect caught at final costs days.”
When roughly a fifth to a third of the order is complete, our QC team pulls a sample of finished garments and inspects them in full against the sealed pre-production sample. This is the first chance to see the whole garment as the customer will.
We measure every point of measure, check construction and finishing, and compare colour and hand-feel. If a trend appears, like a measurement drifting at one size, production is corrected before the rest of the order is sewn.
When the order is complete and at least 80% packed, we carry out a final random inspection using AQL sampling. Our standard is AQL 2.5 for major defects, unless a client specifies otherwise.
Final inspection covers:
Only orders that pass are released for dispatch. Clients are welcome to send their own inspector or a third-party agency to attend.
Every order ships with a quality record: incoming material test results, in-line and mid-production findings, and the final inspection report with photos. If you ever need to trace a problem back, the record shows exactly where it was checked.
Yes. We can inspect to AQL 1.5, 2.5 or 4.0, or to your own quality manual, as agreed before production.
Yes. We regularly host third-party inspections and can schedule them around mid-production and final stages.
The order is held, fully sorted and reworked as needed, then re-inspected. It isn't dispatched until it passes.
Yes. We can run wash tests, seam strength and colour fastness on finished garments, and arrange external lab testing if required.
Send us your tech pack or a reference garment. We'll recommend a fabric and send swatches.
